Anchorage AEYC is committed to improving the quality of programs for all young children and their families.
The Anchorage AEYC Scholarships are offered semiannually to assist Anchorage AEYC members who are pursuing a degree or certificate in Early Childhood in the state of Alaska as well as to any members who wish to attend an early childhood conference either in Alaska or out of state.
The Ms Lare’ Early Childhood Education Scholarship is an annual award for any Anchorage AEYC/NAEYC member who is working towards a degree or certificate in Early Childhood in the State of Alaska. In addition to the Ms. Lare’ Early Childhood Education Scholarship, an additional Scholarship has been given since 2008 in memory of Jan Porterfield. In their efforts to support professionalism in the field of early education Anchorage AEYC has given over $50,000 in scholarships since 1972.
